Voodooshield, a good second layer protection for home users.

Voodooshield is one of the best second layer protection that I came accross to for Application Whitelisting protection. It is best for any home users and students alike. I recommended this to some of my friend since they were afraid that someday they might get Ransomwared.
It has built in Sandbox technology using Cuckoo Sandbox. This sandbox is for analyzing unknown programs for in-depth behaviour analysis. It also has VirusTotal integration that allows you to check which Antivirus has the signature at the point of time of the file that you are about to execute.
On top of all, it is free for home and personal use.
Check this out my demo on WannaCry sample in this machine without any Antivirus but VoodooShield.
However, I still recommend users to have Antivirus as the 1st layer protection. Voodooshield can work with any major Antivirus product that does not have Application Whitelisting or Sandbox technology in them.
